Air Italy Polska Increasingly On-Time 

In 2010 Air Italy Polska recorded outstanding on-time performance. Another reason to be proud is a significant improvement in the carrier’s traffic statistics as compared to 2009. 

Between 1 January and 31 December 2010, 95 per cent of AIP flights departed sharp on time. With such an excellent performance, AIP is sure to rank among the most on-time airlines. The result can be attributed to the fact that the carrier operates modern Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft. Air Italy Polska was the first airline registered in Poland to offer its passengers a new quality of service. 

“Punctuality, along with safety and comfort, has always been a priority for Air Italy Polska. We realize the inconvenience a delayed flight can cause, taking away the fun of your vacation. I am happy to see that the efforts we all make at the AIP deliver measurable results in the form of improving on-time performance. I believe that this year we will improve our punctuality even further. It is our goal to become the carrier of choice for passengers and tour agencies. We want to stand out by on-time flights, quality of service and the most advanced fleet,” says Mariusz Szpikowski, President of the Management Board, Air Italy Polska. 

The airline ended the year 2010 with excellent traffic statistics: more than 272,000 passengers travelled on Air Italy Polska flights, i.e. 131,000 more than in 2009. 

Last year Air Italy Polska offered charter flights from Poland and Italy. Passengers from Warsaw, Katowice, Poznań, Wrocław and Łódź could travel to Egypt (Sharm-el-Sheikh and Hurghada), Morocco (Agadir), Turkey (Alanya, Bodrum, Izmir), Spain (Costa Brava, Gerona), and the Canary Islands (Fuerteventura).The destinations available from the Italian base included Kenya, Dubai, Zanzibar, and the Cape Verde Islands. 

In winter, new destinations were added, including Gran Canaria and Tenerife, Israel (Ovda) and Kenya (Mombasa).
